Bloomington's very own KWYJIBO will rattle the glass at Zorbas  
Restaurant, Champaign, IL, 9:30pm on April 5th


If you like Weather Report, Mahavishnu Orchestra and the music that  
was called 'Fusion' in the 70s this is for you! We'll perform music  
from that time period and a lot of original material.

Danny Deckard plays the instrument that is made up from a bunch of  
differently sized wooden buckets and what looks like upside-down  
brass tableware on tall metal stands, he uses wooden sticks and  
sometimes other things to beat on the various parts - amongst 1st  
graders this instrument is often referred to as 'the bus'Ron Kadish  
plays the instrument that's essentially a chunk of wood with five  
metal strings of various thickness strung along it's length, he  
plucks these strings with his fingers or under extreme conditions  
slaps them with his thumb - 1st graders liken the function of this  
instrument to 'the driver'Peter Kienle's main instrument looks and  
functions in many ways like the one Ron plays, yet it has six metal  
strings which are attacked using the bare flesh of the fingers or an  
irregularly shaped piece of plastic called a pick - since this  
instrument is often used to provide harmonic context and a  
comfortable cushion for the instrument Joe plays 1st graders  
sometimes call it 'the seat'Joe Donnelly plays an instrument that  
is made from a long brass tube shaped somewhat like the letter 'S',  
the tube has numerous holes which can be opened or covered up by  
moveable flaps so as to change the effective length of the tube which  
yields different pitches when air is blown into the tube through what  
is called a mouth-piece - there is no reliable information as to what  
1st graders call this instrument; 'a passenger' perhaps?http://
