Making their Urbana Champaign debut, the ambient avant world trio*
Straylight* features NYC-based guitarist and Blue Man Group zither
player* Geoff Gersh* who masterfully executes extended guitar
techniques, Philadelphia-based improviser* Charles Cohen* who performs
on a Buchla Music Easel, an extremely rare integrated analog performance
instrument obtained from synth pioneer Don Buchla in 1976, and
Urbana-based* Jason Finkelman,* a percussive sound explorer since 1987
who specializes in the Afro-Brazilian bow instrument berimbau and
performs on a wide variety of African and Brazilian instruments
handcrafted by Adimu Kuumba.

Together as Straylight, they have been improvising and creating music
