Emerging out of Urbana Champaign's improvised music community is
FERROCENE 3, an ambient, avant world trio featuring Jason Finkelman
(laptop electronics + percussion), Jay Eychaner (synthesizer), and Nick
Rudd (electric guitar).  A founding member of the improvising ensembles
Nu Orbit and Straylight, percussionist Jason Finkelman embraces
FERROCENE 3 as a vehicle to explore sonic manipulations of his own
organic sounds through laptop performance.  Long time collaborator Jay
Eychaner adds his signature blend of textured electronic murmur with a
fastidious approach to tone and Nick Rudd, founding member of prog rock
duo Water Between Continents, weaves sustained tones and extended guitar
techniques into the mix.
