This is a test of the emergency fun broadcast system...
Come to the Iron Post in downtown Urbana this Saturday, Jan. 27 for a
special early show (6-9pm) and catch the Backyard BBQ Band as the band
plays blues, honky-tonk (old country tunes that everyone knows) and
toe-tappin' and foot-shufflin' western swing.
If you've held out waiting for the smoking ban, now is the time to get
out and support live, local music. The Iron Post is now smoke-free and
the music sounds better!
The BBQ Band kitchen is staffed by:
Doug Schroer (head chef) - harmonicas
Randy Cordle (saucier) - lap steel & mandolin
Steve Long and/or Mark Wetzel (grill-meisters) - bass
Rob Krumm (sous chef) - guitar
with rhythmic support from Mark Obu (demi chef) - drums
Come on out and see what's cookin'.
Rob
P.S. - come early for the BBQ Band & stay late for bluegrass from the
Flatland String Band.
