TRIBUTE TO COUNT BASIE

with the Dave Dickey Big Band
and the swing dancers from the Swing Society at the University of Illinois.

The Dave Dickey Big Band will be performing all Count Basie music that
night.  Swing dancers and a video/pictures of Basie and his band will be
shown on a large projection screen during the bands performance.
Smoke-free.  Middle school and high school students are welcome and
encouraged to come with an adult.  Come and dance/listen to the music of
Count Basie.

Herman, and Mel Torme

*Wayne Coniglio* (St Louis) former trombonist/arranger with Ray Charles,
Mel Lewis, and Toshiko Akiyoshi

*Joan Hickey* (Chicago) pianist who has performed with Cab Calloway, Joe
Williams, Milt Hinton, and Nat Adderly
